Bold's app supports standard subscriptions offers out of the box, allowing retailers to create, customize, and build their own unique subscription offerings. They can use the app's cutoff days feature to match their billing cycle with their fulfillment cycle for a seamless flow. Yes. Your store's customers will be able to manage, upgrade, or cancel their subscriptions via the app's Customer Portal. The portal allows subscribers to manage their own subscriptions, including making changes to the products they are subscribed to, the quantities, and the delivery schedules. We offer seamless integration with numerous core features of Shopify. This allows you to conveniently sell your products on a recurring basis. However, it's important to note that there may be some limitations and incompatibilities. We integrate extensively with a variety of third-party applications. This includes integrations with other Bold apps, third-party apps like Govalo Gift Cards, Klaviyo, Zapier, and more, as well as page builder apps such as GemPages, PageFly, and Zipify Pages.

All customizations to the subscription widget can be completed in the theme Liquid code or by using the app block settings available for Online Store 2.0 themes. Can I charge a one-time fee on the first order for a subscription purchase?

There currently isn't a setting in Bold Subscriptions that allows you to charge an additional one-time fee on the first order. Additionally, Bold Subscriptions does not have the ability to charge a higher price rate. You can offer a discount in the subscription group settings or offer a discount code. Can I test my subscriptions once they are set up?

Yes. You can create test orders in Shopify by using the test mode in Shopify Payments. If you are not using Shopify Payments, you can use the Shopify Bogus Payment Gateway.

Does Bold Subscriptions integrate with any third party subscriptions applications?

Accepted Answer

No, Bold Subscriptions does not have any official integrations with other subscriptions applications due to conflicting subscription rules and multiple customer portals that may interfere with each other.

How does Bold Subscriptions determine shipping and tax rates for subscription products?

Accepted Answer

Unless you have defined fixed shipping rates in Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout, the shipping and tax rates are determined by your settings in Shopify. Will digital products work with Bold Subscriptions?

Digital products are compatible with Bold Subscriptions. However, purchasing this type of subscription will not prompt your customer to enter a shipping address within the checkout. If a digital product is swapped with a physical product after the initial purchase, your customer is prompted to enter a shipping address at that time.

Will Shopify's unbranded dynamic Buy it now checkout button work with Bold Subscriptions?

Shopify's unbranded dynamic checkout buttons are only compatible when using Shopify Payments as your payment gateway. Otherwise, this button skips the necessary add to cart function that Bold Subscriptions requires. This may allow the order to process without being created as a subscription on your store. Is there a setting to require customers to create an account in Bold Subscriptions?
